Beauty Empties: 15 – 31 March 2017

You’re not going to believe how long I took to take this photograph – I was interrupted so many times, and somewhat embarrassingly so. I had all my trash lined up on a table, when the plumber decided that it was a good time to check a leak in my house. I definitely got many weird stares from that burly plumber with my empties nicely lined up on a table. So I really do hope you like this empties post given how much I went through!

1. Rodial Dragon’s Blood Hyaluronic Tonic
I just never really understand the whole point of facial sprays. I guess this helps to moisturise given it’s called “Hyaluronic Tonic” but I don’t feel anything. Won’t repurchase.

2. Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal Tonique Hydratant
A hydrating toner. This brand is very cheap here in Belgium, and Yves Rocher always have further discounts on their already reasonably priced products. I really liked this – this feels really fresh on the skin and does not dry it out.

3. Sulwhasoo Snowise Brightening Spot Treatment
4. Estee Lauder Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator

A couple of small sachets that I have totally no memory of using up. They’re really too small with too little product in it to make an impression.

5. Malin+Goetz Vitamin B5 Body Moisturizer
6. Malin+Goetz Peppermint Shampoo
7. Malin+Goetz Cilantro Hair Conditioner

I’ve talked about these in many previous empties post. I get a lot of them because we always stay at the same hotel and I always take them. They’re nice, but nothing really special. If I have to pay for them then I wouldn’t get them.

8. Kneipp Huile de Bain in Lavande
This smells quite nice but it always leave annoying blue marks on my bath tub that is insanely difficult to remove. I wish they would leave off the stupid colouring, or at least lighten it up a bit. I won’t repurchase because it’s just ridiculous how much energy I have to spend after having a nice bath to wipe off the marks.

9. Lancome Advanced Genifique Yeux
Considering that this is in a pot, I usually expect the texture to be firmer, but this is actually quite soft and more fluid/gel-like than I expected. It’s actually very nice – feels cooling on the skin, and is very lightweight so it doesn’t feel too heavy even when I have layers of skincare on. I don’t have lines so I don’t know if it did anything.

10. L’occitane Immortelle Precious Night Cream
This is quite nice. I only used it a couple of times and then it was kidnapped by the husband, so I really have no idea if it is any good – I guess it must be?

11. Molton Brown Body Wash in Black Peppercorn
12. Molton Brown Body Wash in Coco & Sandalwod
13. Molton Brown Body Wash in Dewy Lily of the Valley & Star Anise
14. Molton Brown Body Wash in Rosa Absolute

Also mentioned in previous empties posts, I got these in a gift set over the holidays. Most of the scents are nice – even the ones with the weird names. They are really just ordinary body washes – they clean well but I wouldn’t pay their price tag for them.

15. DHC Deep Cleansing Oil
One of my favourite cleansing oils – I have another full size bottle that I’m finishing up as well. This cleanses really well and leaves the skin with a very comfortable feeling – it doesn’t leave behind an oily film. The only thing is if gets near the eyes, you’ll be blinded – it doesn’t hurt, it just blurs out everything – for a few minutes.

16. Lancome Bi-Facil Demaquillant Rapide
I really like this – it removes long wearing or waterproof makeup very easily. But I don’t usually use it (and I should) because it leaves an oily film that has to be cleaned off with another remover or cleansing water and I am too lazy for that.

And there we have 16 items in my empties list! 15 to 16 items seem to be my bi-weekly average number of empties and I’m very happy with that – that’s pretty much 30 odd empties in a month! If I continue with this, I should draw down significantly on my stash before I move, assuming that I manage to control my purchases.

What have you used up this month? What would you repurchase?
