5 Friday Empties – 8 March 2019

I’m finally back with another Friday empties! I said that I’ll be back really soon with another post but somehow, a month passed by so quickly yet again! I take that as a good sign actually – it must mean that I’ve been busy and happy!

Writing empties posts used to be really tough, and while I liked them, it is a little daunting when the empties pile up and I have to write about nearly 30 products at a go. Don’t get me wrong – it’s fun and I love how it helps refresh my mind about how I felt about the products, but I’m obsessed with writing down every thought, so it can sometimes take a whole day to write. Well, now I am only doing 5 products, so no more excuses and let’s get down to it!

1. Mario Badescu Special Cucumber Lotion
I really like this lotion – I find it to be very calming, and very kind to sensitive skin so I always reach for this when I feel like my skin is feeling a little too tight for other toners.

2. Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea
I like to bring along a little bottle of facial spray to the gym; I don’t actually spray it right after an exercise because my face will still be warm but I like a refreshing spray after I’ve come out of the showers. I also like the fresh scent and it isn’t too strong.

3. Laroche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5
I actually haven’t finished using this – only used it a couple of times a few years back when I got it but I guess it didn’t do anything for me and I promptly forgot about it. But it’s expired now and I really don’t want to put expired products on my face.

4. Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm
I waver in how I feel about this Emma Hardie cleansing balm – there was a period of time that I didn’t enjoy it, because it is rather troublesome, but right now I’m kind of liking it again because I’ve been taking a lot of time to take care of my skin and body and I’m slowly getting into the rhythm of using the balm to do little massages while removing makeup.

5. Malin+Goetz Peppermint Shampoo
Took this from a hotel – I really like them, which is why I always take them when I find them in hotels, but not enough to actually pay money to buy them. For a peppermint shampoo, I was pleasantly surprised to find this very softening on my hair as I always find any shampoo with some sort of mint to be clarifying and drying but this was not.

So that’s it for my 5 empties! I really thought that I’d have some time to update since the last post about my new lifestyle and perhaps touch a little bit on how I’ve turned my health – both physically and mentally – around, but part of being healthier is that I’ve been a lot more active, which takes away a lot of time to just sit down and write about it.

But I promise that if I do find any extra quiet time, I will try to sit down and write something because I do feel that it’s a great personal change that might be helpful for some people who are having the same issues and need a push. Anyway, have a happy weekend!
