Oops, I skipped out on last week’s 5 Friday Empties! Every week passes by so fast – I seriously can’t believe it’s already been 2 weeks since the last post! Anyway, while we are on the topic of time passing by so fast, let’s not waste time and get to the empties.
1. GlamGlow ThirstyMud Hydrating Treatment
Not a fan of this treatment – I liked the other masks from GlamGlow such as the original YouthMud as I can see the results immediately but I have no clue what this one really does. It says hydrating, but I don’t see anything at all.
2. La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL 50+ UVB+UVA
La Roche-Posay is one of my favourite brands for sunscreen. As I have a skin condition, I have a medical need for constant SPF 50 coverage which can clog up pores and gets a little oily. I like this – it’s not my favourite from the brand as I exercise a lot and I can feel it when I sweat, but it doesn’t clog up my pores and dries down very quickly.
3. Mario Badescu Aloe Vera Toner
I think Mario Badescu makes fantastic toners which are affordable. I really like this toner – it’s very calming and kind to sensitive skin. It reminds me of the Special Cucumber lotion – I basically use either of them when my skin feels a little dry but still want to use Toner.
4. Bourjois Healthy Mix Anti-Fatigue Foundation in No 53
This was my go-to foundation for the longest time. I’ve used up so many bottles of this that I can’t even remember how many it has been. This gives quite a good coverage without looking as though I have a mask of foundation on, and I just look really healthy with it on. I will definitely repurchase another when I’ve drawn down my huge stash of foundations.
5. Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation in SB4.5
I actually haven’t finished this one but it’s been so many years since I bought this and I am a lot darker than this shade now. You can even see the shade difference compared to the Bourjois foundation! I find this quite thick actually, and while it gives incredible full coverage, I’m just no longer really into the full-coverage look anymore and it feels too heavy.
I do have a lot of empties and I pondered for awhile if I should just combine them and make it into 10 empties this time around, but I thought while I have some time on my hands right now that I should just keep them as 5 empties and write in advance for the next couple of weeks. I also think that makes reading these posts a little easier and more enjoyable as it’s short and sweet. What do you think?
Anyway, hope you’ve enjoyed this post and see you next week!
