Beauty Review: Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer

I recently picked up a new eye primer – I had finished mine, and my pocket was looking a little too empty for me to pick up another Too Faced or Urban Decay one, so when I saw this Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer on sale online, I thought I’d give it a try.

Etude House is an affordable Korean beauty brand and there are a number of branches in Singapore. The Proof 10 Eye Primer promises to provide coverage to eyelids and around the eyes to enhance eye shadow color and integrity for a longer lasting look.

A full size tube has 10g of product, and comes with a doe-foot applicator. I love the applicator because it acts like a little brush and deposits just enough product on the eyelids. The texture is thin, and not too sticky. It dries down quickly but still easy to spread out on the eyelids.

The biggest problem with this product is that the bottle has a hard curved shape that is impossible to cut through, and it’s hard to get the product at the sides out so there will be a fair amount of wastage. But 10g is quite a lot of product and should last a while anyway.

This cost me less than S$10, and it did a great job at helping my eyeshadows last all day and stay vivid. It’s skin tone colour, so it doesn’t change how the eyeshadows should look. It’s not too sticky, so it’s still easy to blend eyeshadows over it.

If you’re looking for a cheap and good eyelid primer, I would totally recommend this. I honestly think it’s better than the Urban Decay and Too Faced primers if you’re looking for a do-it-all primer or for everyday-eyeshadow application; it’s a whole lot cheaper, and lasts longer.
