It’s time for another unboxing! I wish the different beauty boxes will ship at different times so that I can receive something every few weeks rather than getting everything at once, so that I have something in between too. Do you feel that way too? Anyway, it’s not like I can get them to change their posting dates… so let’s get on with what’s in the box!
This month’s theme is “#LFBestofBritish”, to support their athletes in the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympics. It’s supposed to be filled with LF’s favourite British brands.
Elle Magazine*
As usual, free Elle magazine! This month’s is super thick and heavy, possibly twice the normal thickness. This came just in time for my upcoming roadtrip this weekend! I can’t drive so this will be keeping me entertained for the long ride.
Item 1. REN Flash Defense Anti-Pollution Mist | 9ml
RRP: €29.95/60ml
This is supposedly formulated with zinc and manganese amino acids to protect the skin from oxidative stress. I honestly doubt the effectiveness of mists to do all that, but they feel good enough on for me to use them though usually not enough for me to purchase them.
Item 2. RENU Lip and Eye Active Lift | 7ml
RRP: €64.95/25ml
Now I’m in my early 30s, I’ve been using eye creams more consistently. Eye creams are always expensive so I’m glad to get this; it’s a good size and should last a couple of weeks.
Item 3. Bloom And Blossom Rejuvenating Facial Spritz | 40ml
RRP: €18.95/100ml
I’m a little let down that there are two bottles of facial mists in one beauty box but I guess it’s the first thing people think of in summer. As above, I don’t mind using them and will use this up, but it’s very unlikely for me to purchase them myself.
Item 4. Bee Good Vanilla and Honey Lip Balm | 10ml
RRP: €5.95/10ml
This sounds so good – vanilla and honey! I still have a few lip balms that I’m trying to finish up first, or I’m sure will somehow be lost, so I won’t be using this yet until then.
Item 5. Balance Me Congested Skin Serum | 7ml
RRP: €19.95/15ml
This contains antibacterial May Chang, calming Lavender and purifying Eucalyptus; it’s supposed to be a spot treatment and suitable for all skin types. Definitely will be giving this a try since my skin has been behaving badly these days.
Item 6. Percy & Reed Perfectly Perfecting Wonder Balm | 30ml
RRP: €22.45/75ml
This is supposed to help smooth fly-aways and add moisture and shine to hair. Given that I do have a huge amount of very coarse hair, will be giving this a try!
Well well well. I think this month’s box is not that exciting… it’s kind of expected – as usual, it’s filled with skin and hair products without any real makeup items. But the items are really useful – I can’t think of one item from this box that I won’t use – and the value is pretty high. Plus as usual, I’m super happy to get another English magazine!
