Time passes really fast when it’s filled with lots of fun and makeup, doesn’t it? Once again, it’s time for another mid-month empties post! Didn’t finish much this time and most of the empties are bath items. The weather has been acting a little weird lately for summer – it’s really cold with rain almost everyday; it’s too early to turn on the home heaters so hot baths have been my saviour the past two weeks.
1. Dior Miss Dior Eau de Toilette
I’ve tried this a few times before and I really do like it; it’s a pretty feminine fragrance, not too strong, and rather floral. I am also kind of in love with the cute ribboned bottle, so I will probably get the full size, especially when the display cabinet in my house is completed.
2. Aromatherapy Associates Inner Strength Bath & Shower Oil
Used up another one of these shower oils from the set of 10! Probably not one of my favourite scents in the set, but the moisturising effect on the skin is just as effective.
3. Caudalie Instant Foaming Cleanser Grape & Sage
Got this in Paris just a few weeks ago. This is an instant foaming cleanser, which is dispensed in foam form and you basically spread foam over your face. I like that it’s not drying for a foaming cleanser and isn’t hard to wash off. I like using it on hot days when I’m sweaty because somehow it feels more refreshing than regular cleansers.
4. Evi-line Dead Sea Salt
This has no scent – just normal dead sea salt. But I’ve read some articles about dead sea salt being beneficial for various skin conditions so I’m giving it a try in hopes it’ll help with the rashes on my back. I don’t know if it’s psychological or if it really works, but I am finding that the rashes seem to improving and feels less itchy.
5. Corine de Farme Sea Bath Salts in Vanilla Fragrance
I’ve used up another bottle from this line before, and while the scent is not very strong, it’s good enough and it’s super affordable at about 5 euros for a 1.3kg bottle.
So that’s it for my August mid-month empties! As you can tell, I really love my hot baths and I can imagine that as we enter into Fall and cross over into Winter, I would take even more hot baths. I’ve taken to stocking up my shelf with bath salts, as they’re really heavy so I try to get them whenever the hubs is around to help me carry them, plus I don’t want to have to go out in the cold to get them when Winter comes. Call me crazy but I LOVE HOT BATHS.
So have you used up anything lately? How do you deal with the cold weather?
