With the festive season coming up, LookFantastic’s November box appears to be dressing up for the party too – the box is silver in colour with white snow flake prints. It’s such a nice pretty box that I might keep it and use it to dress up my tree later on!
This month’s theme is “#LFSparkle”, and making you shine bright in time for the party season. It’s supposed to be filled with treats to get your natural beauty sparkling.
Item 1. L’Oreal Professionnel Mythic Oil | 30ml
RRP: €16.95/125ml
I’ve used this before and remember really enjoying it, except that I was always too lazy to use it. This time I will try harder! This sample came in a really nice, weighty glass bottle.
Item 2. Model Co Blush Cheek Powder in Peach Bellini | 3.5g
RRP: €16.00/8g
This is a very pretty but sheer peachy blush – one of those rare times that I can really say it really looks peachy rather than leaning too pink or orange. The texture is very soft and smooth; this is going into my stash of blushes for the summer.
Item 3. Bloom and Blossom Revitalising Foot and Leg Spray | 50ml
RRP: €16.45/100ml
I almost spritz this on my face because they had another one of these in the August box that was a facial spray – thank goodness I had a quick glance at the name and realised it’s for my foot! This is supposed to help with aching limbs and to alleviate water tension. I have another vacation coming up that would require lots of walking so I’ll be bringing this along!
Item 4. Sebastien Professional Volupt Spray | 50ml
RRP: €18.45/150ml
This claims to use a unique “cushion particle technology” to lift hair from the roots for long-lasting hold and soft finish. I don’t have many hair sprays since I rarely do my own hair, but I’m trying to learn so this will come in useful!
Item 5. Monu Soothing Touch Recovery Balm | 25ml
RRP: €29.45/50ml
This is a moisturiser that contains rose essential oil, evening primrose oil, peptides and blackcurrant seed oil. I’ve tried a lot of MONU products, and while I didn’t hate them, I haven’t been particularly impressed by them so I don’t have very high expectations for this.
Item 6. Sparkly Nail Buffer by LookFantastic
A really pretty sparkly nail buffer; I love anything sparkly so this is great!
Item 7. Look Good Feel Better Angled Blending Blush
RRP: €8.45
I’ve seen this brand around but have never tried it; the brand claims to provide support for women and teenagers struggling with visible side effects of their cancer treatment. I like the idea that my shopping helps someone but only 8-12% of the wholesale price, not the retail price, goes to the cause, which feels a little low. But on its own merits, I feel that I wouldn’t spend so much on it – the hair is soft but it’s weirdly cut and very loosely packed.
The Elle magazine is included again this, which to me is the highlight of the box every month. I love the magazine, and it’s hard and expensive to find here in Belgium.
I’m pretty happy with this month’s box – it seems like beauty boxes put in more effort in the festive months! The blush is really pretty – I do wish that it was a darker and plummy shade, but this is nice too. I’m happy that there are more makeup items than skincare this month! Most of the products also tie in with the theme, and are things that I would use.
What do you think of this month’s LF box?
