Bonjour! I’m back with another unboxing – this time it’s Birchbox, the french version, for December 2016. I don’t know if everyone is sick of unboxings, especially since I do so many every month, but personally I really like doing and reading them!
This month’s theme is “Chic! C’est Noel”. Birchbox France costs €13 a month, with free postage to the Relay Point; I paid an extra €2 to have it delivered to my door. Can I just say that I absolutely love this month’s box that the items were delivered in? It opens up to become two wonderful pen or brush stand, super convenient and useful.
Item 1. Marcelle BB Creme Eclat D’Or | 10ml
RRP: €25.42 for 45ml
This is a “Golden Glow” BB creme that is supposed to illuminate your skin; honestly it looks rather normal on my skin, with no visible glow.
Item 2. Polaar La Veritale Creme de Laponie | 25ml
RRP: €17.43 for 50ml
I received this same Lapland cream last month, but in a smaller size, from a LookFantastic box so I will be giving away one of them as I really have way too many creams right now.
Item 3. Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle Leave in Conditioner
RRP: €20.06 for 236ml
This came at a good time – my hair has been crazy dry and totally tangled; I’ve been using lots of conditioner but nothing helps. I really hope that this will solve the problem.
Item 4. Human+Kind In-Shower Body Moisturiser | 30ml
RRP: €11.01 for 250ml
I’ve never really understood how these in-shower body moisturisers work – if I washed it away, isn’t it the same as a shower gel? And how would it help to moisturise the skin if it’s washed off? We’ll see how this works out.
Item 5. Ciate London Fierce Flicks Eyeliner in Black | Full Size
RRP: €13.60
This is item that I’m most excited about in the whole box – it’s a simple black eyeliner but it’s so hard to find the perfect one! Let’s see if this will turn out to be the one!
And there we have everything in the box! I’m feeling kind of ‘mehhh’ about this box – it’s quite boring, especially for a Holiday Season box. I always expect more in a Holiday season box because it’s so easy to make it a great one – just throw in a couple of nail polishes, some shiny items, and it’ll be all festive. I’m happy to receive the eyeliner, but that’s pretty much all that I’m excited about in this month’s box.
