And it’s another month yet again! I love it when I use up a ton of products, but at the same time it makes me feel a little bit of “oh dear” because I know that I want to document it, but I also know that it will take a long time to do so – running through so many products at a go. I really do try to think hard and put down my opinions for each item in these posts, because it helps me remember if I liked them a few months down the road when I’m looking at the same product and know that I’ve tried it but just can’t remember what I had thought about it before. Anyway let’s quickly get on to the empties!
1. Amika Nourishing Mask in Sea Buckthorn Berry
This is an intense conditioning for all hair types. I’ve been running down my stash of hair masks lately and my hair is at its healthiest ever! This a thick mask that you leave on and wash off after 5 to 10 minutes. I really like how it makes my hair really nice and smooth.
2. Missha Brown Sugar Facial Scrub
For some reason I didn’t really enjoy this – it’s supposed to be brown sugar granules but I find it a little too rough. I’ve been using it on my body instead and it works great.
3. Giorgio Armani Si Perfumed Body Lotion
I have so many bottles of this from the little gift bags that they give out on airplanes. The lotion texture is nice but it’s super perfumed, so I really don’t like using it – I try to use them just on my legs so that I don’t smell it so much but it’s still pretty intense.
4. Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask
Another hair conditioning mask – told you that I’m trying to use up all my hair masks! This is another really nice hair mask, same procedure – leave it on for a few minutes and wash off. My hair is super smooth afterwards although it can become a little flat from being weighed down (which I personally like because I have bombastic hair).
5. Molton Brown Orange & Bergamot Body Wash
I’m almost done with the set of 10 of this that I got over the holidays. I like it, it smells great but I’m bored with it and other than the scent it’s really nothing that special.
6. Nuxe Gentle Toning Lotion
I’ve used up full sizes of this before and I love it. It smells really nice – a very light rose scent and it doesn’t irritate or dry my skin. Will repurchase again!
7. ThisWorks In Transit Camera Close-up
This is supposed to be a mask, moisturizer and primer in one. Honestly, I think they should just call it a moisturiser and primer – I really don’t see how this can work as a mask, and I’m more than happy for it to just work as a 2-in-1. Why inflate expectations? As a moisturiser/primer I think it works fine – better as just a moisturiser. I don’t really see it doing much as a primer as I don’t find it helps my makeup last longer or look better.
8. Marcelle BB Cream Golden Glow
This has much better coverage than I expected! It looks really good on my skin – nice and dewy without being oily (but I have dry skin) and manages to cover most pigmentations.
9. Dior Diorshow Liner Waterproof in Gold 548
This was awful – it was so expensive, but so dry and hard and dragged horribly even when it was brand new. The colour is a pretty gold and I tried very hard to use it because it cost so much but it just won’t work and I’m terrified that it’ll give me wrinkles.
10. Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof in Rose Platine
This was my favourite eyeliner for years – the colour is just so gorgeous, a really beautiful rose-hinted taupe-ish platinum and I like to use it to shade my undereye area. This has lasted me for years – it’s not used up (still about one more centimetre to go) but it’s getting really dry and drags on my skin now so it’s time to let it go.
11. GlamGlow Supermud Clearing Treatment
I used to love GlamGlow products because they always manage to leave my skin looking much fresher and clearer, almost as if it really did suck out all the gunk in my pores. I still like it – but I feel my skin is a little more sensitive lately and it stings like crazy; it never used to hurt so I don’t know if my skin or the formula has changed.
12. Aromatherapy Associates Bath & Shower Oil in De-Stress Muscle
13. Aromatherapy Associates Bath & Shower Oil in De-Stress Mind
14. Aromatherapy Associates Bath & Shower Oil in Revive Evening
My number one favourite bath oil brand. Have I told you how much I love this brand? I have? Well, just to let you know that I really love them again. They smell amazing and leave the most perfect thin layer of oil on your skin, leaving it feeling super nice and smooth without being oily. They’re expensive but so worth it.
15. Nars Blush/Bronzer Duo in Orgasm and Laguna
I really love this duo – it’s very convenient for travelling and has beautiful shades. I love Laguna – I have repurchased a full size of it. Orgasm was my first blush shade from Nars years ago and I have repurchased it several times, to the extent that I’m really quite sick of it now. There’s still tiny bits and pieces left at the sides but they’re just too difficult to reach.
15 to 16 items really seem to be like the golden number, doesn’t it? I sort of remember talking about it just last fortnight that it’s been a rather consistent over the last empties posts. I swear that I did not plan these empties out! I just do them whenever it’s time or when the bin can no longer hold any more empties.
Anyway, have you tried any of the items above? Did you use up any items lately?
