A quick mid-month empties post, as I’m super busy preparing for Chinese New Year right now. If you’re celebrating too, then Gong Xi Fa Cai to you too! I’ve been spending the past few days spring cleaning and wanted to do this empties post earlier so that I could get rid of all these empties before the new year (the Chinese calendar version).
1. Origins Modern Friction
Not a big fan of this – I find the friction a little too rough. It’s really hard to explain – the bits are really tiny but it’s so concentrated that it’s more of a clay texture so there’s not enough smoothness in the texture to glide smoothly when you rub it over the face.
2. Percy & Reed Divine Shine Conditioner
3. Percy & Reed Divine Shine Shampoo
Two really nice shampoo and conditioner – my hair felt really nice and smooth after using this! On the other hand though, it was a lot flatter as well. It’s not heavy at all and doesn’t leave a residue, which makes me really confused about why it makes my hair so flat.
4. Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel
I find this cleansing gel a little too thick – granted, it’s a gel and not a cleansing oil. But I find it hard to control the right amount of product; too much and it foams up too much.
5. SKII R.N.A. Power Radical New Age
Really enjoyed this. It’s lightweight but it packs a punch; my skin still feel well moisturized the next day when I wake up. It’s also not too oily so I could also use it during the day.
6. Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm
I find myself really not getting into this cleansing balm trend; I’ve never really found a cleansing balm that I like. I always find them too thick and too oily. This Emma Hardie cleansing balm is also a tad oily and thick but at least it was relatively easy to wash off.
7. Sephora Triple Action Cleansing Water
I really hated this. There’s a very strong chemical scent that’s truly awful. It did do a good job at removing makeup and didn’t irritate my eyes or skin, but the scent is just so off-putting.
8. Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm
As I mentioned above, I’m not really into cleansing balms. This is quite thick and pretty hard to wash off – it always feels like there’s still a layer of balm on my skin.
9. Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Morning Eye Rescue
I don’t have a very strong impression of this – I don’t have any wrinkles so I can’t gauge if it did anything, but perhaps the fact that I don’t have wrinkles means that it’s working?
10. Makeup Revolution The One Blush Stick
I got this free when I made an online order from Makeup Revolution a few years back – they used to give out huge goodiebags with purchase over a certain amount, but it’s usually filled with products that I don’t want anyway. I don’t see the shade name on it but it’s a dark sparkly bronze that looks horrible unless using for Halloween makeup.
That’s it! It’s a really quick post – I’m on a tight schedule to get everything in the house ready for Chinese New Year but I really wanted to put this post up before the festivities take over for the next few days. Hope you’ve enjoyed this post and I’ll be back soon!
