My insanely large stash of beauty products never seem to shrink no matter how much I use in a month! I swear I’m consistently using up at least 30 products per month and I haven’t been buying as much as I used to back when I worked in the office tower of a shopping mall, but my stash is a few times as large as before. I have about 4 more months before my Wedding and house-moving, so hopefully I will be able to shrink my stash a little in the coming months! Anyway, let’s take a look at what I’ve emptied in the month of November!
1. Super Moist Toner with Hyaluronic Acid
2. My Beauty Diary Ultra Cleansing Water
3. It’s Skin Prestige Creme D’Escargot BB
4. Secret Key MaYu Healing Facial Cream
4 small sachets of skincare products. To be honest, I don’t like it when companies give out small sachets of samples because they’re never in the right size to be able to tell if it’s awesome enough for me to purchase. I am rarely tempted by 1 try to purchase the full size product. I can only tell that I really dislike the Mayu cream; way too thick and oily.
5. BeautyBlender Solid Blendercleanser
This is a cleansing soap for the BeautyBlender sponge; I’ve been using it on my BeautyBlender and even brushes – it’s done a fantastic job at removing makeup from my tools. However, I don’t see any difference between this and the MakeUpStore brush cleanser, which is my regular choice of brush cleanser but this is more expensive so I will still be going back to my MakeUpStore one.
6. Enavose Cellogist Youth Guard Cream
I basically remember absolutely nothing about using this…
7. Darlie Double Action Fluoride Toothpaste
For one reason or another (mostly beauty boxes and hotel stays), I have a lot of mini-sized toothpaste in my stash so I have been trying to use them up. I don’t really like this – I dislike the taste but I am also very biased towards Sensodyne; nothing can be as good as Sensodyne.
8. Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner
I posted a quick peek on this sometime ago. This is a great “beginners” acid toner; it’s a blue liquid that is slightly smelly and stings a little initially but I got used to it after a few days. Compared to other acid toners, this is mild enough to be used daily without being too drying or making my skin too sensitive. I feel that it kept my zits at bay when used consistently.
9. Balance Me Revitalising Hand and Body Wash
Got this from a LookFantastic Beauty Box; I have another one of this also from the same subscription. Honestly I don’t like it – it’s kind of gel-like and does not lather up well. It also doesn’t really have a strong scent, and it’s nont particularly “revitalising”. I will use up the other tube that I own, but I won’t be repurchasing it.
10. Philip B Peppermint & Avocado Volumizing & Clarifying Shampoo
I used to hate anything minty – but I have come to really appreciate this shampoo. It’s kind of great after coming in from the hot weather outside, when you’re hot and sweaty – I find it refreshing and my hair feels really clean. It feel slightly drying so I don’t use it everyday.
11. Sebastien Penetraitt Strengthening & Repair Shampoo
12. Sebastien Penetraitt Strengthening & Repair Conditioner
Another 2 hair products I received from beauty boxes and loved. This is why I used to love subscribing to beauty boxes – because it gives me the chance to try lots of different products! This shampoo and conditioner helped make my hair really smooth and less tangled.
13. Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E Skin Therapy Oil
I have very dry skin and I love using this oil, especially when I have the air-condition switched on all day and all night. It dries down very very quickly so it doesn’t transfer onto my sheets, and makes my skin a lot less tight and scaly if I remember to use it consistently.
14. Pond’s Flawless White Deep Whitening Facial Foam
Not a big fan of this. This is a pretty foamy facial wash and it feels really drying on my skin; after cleansing, my skin feels squeaky clean but not in a good way.
And that’s it for Part 1! Please come back soon to check out what else I have used up in the month of November in Part 2 of my Beauty Empties post!
