Beauty Review: Cellbydate The Real Galacto Zero Essence

I received this Cellbydate The Real Galacto Zero Essence in a Memebox Special #37 Wake Up Makeup, when Memebox still shipped internationally. I used to be so addicted to Memebox that I bought at least one box every week; so I’m secretly happy that they’ve stopped shipping internationally, as I am stuck with tons of products that are not really that great.

Anyway, back to the essence, most of the words are in Korean so I don’t have much information as I don’t understand Korean. This contains 95% galactomyces fermentation filtrate, which is a fermented liquid full of vitamins, minerals and amino acids. The bottle is a nice frosted glass bottle with a good weight, which makes it feel more expensive.

The texture is like water. There weren’t any instructions on the box in english, but with the texture, I just used it like a toner, after cleansing, and with a piece of cotton pad. I also sometimes use it to soak my own home-made face masks together with other serums. It feels pretty refreshing, but so would putting water on your face.

I’ve used it for about 2 months now and it’s almost used up, but I haven’t noticed anything at all. My skin feels the same and looks the same. It’s supposed to contain similar ingredients to SK-II Pitera Essence, but I’ve tried that and this does not give the same effect. This retailed at US$12 for a 100ml bottle; it’s pretty affordable but I wouldn’t be repurchasing.
