Unboxing: Birchbox (France) November 2016

A really quick unboxing post of the Birchbox November 2016 – I’m about 15minutes away from rushing out the door to catch a train. But this just came and I thought that I’d rather show it quickly now than a long but overdue post later.

This month’s theme is “Sur Le Fil”, which translates to “On the String” and I don’t understand what it means. Birchbox France costs €13 a month, with free postage to the Relay Point; I paid an extra €2 to have it delivered to my door.

1. Amika Nourishing Mask
This is a hair mask – I thought it was a face mask because the packaging doesn’t say hair; thankfully my french is good enough to recognise “la fibre” is not the skin. I’m really lazy about using hair masks so I never buy them; maybe this will get me started on them.

2. REN Revitalising Night Cream V-cense
I’ve generally liked REN’s products and with winter closing in on us, my skin is feeling so dry and needing some revitalising; this will come in useful.

3. Anatomicals The Buff Stuff Citrus Body Scrub
The thing with Anatomicals is that their products come in such happy and joyful packaging, which makes me really happy, but the quality of the products are hit and miss for me. On the bright side, I don’t have a body scrub on hand so this came at a good time!

4. Huygens Le Gommage Visage Face Scrub
I’ve never heard of the brand before and it sounds more like a vietnamese brand name. That aside, I’m excited to try this because I’m very particular about face scrubs and how big the scrub bits are, and it’s so hard to find the perfect one.

5. Model Co Highlighting Trio in Champagne, Peach Bellini & Bronze
Last but not least, a makeup item! This has 3 colours and come in a small handy plastic palette, but it’s not too small to make it too difficult to get the product out. I can’t wait to try this! I think this is full size.

This month’s box is slightly different – it came with a packet of strings, and holes in the cover of the box. It’s kind of like a handicraft project, just like a cross stitch to customise your box. It looks cute but I’m not a big cross stitch kind of person so it’s not so exciting.

But I do think that this month’s box is pretty interesting! There’s a makeup item, which always makes me happy because surprise beauty boxes are always filled with sample size skincare products, and the value of the makeup item on its own already covers the cost of the box. Everything else isn’t that exciting, but at least they will be used!

What do you think of this month’s box?
