The Look Incredible Beauty Box is from the UK and promises 5 full size high end Beauty products each month at the cost of £18.99, with free delivery if you live in the UK. I don’t live in the UK, so I have to pay another £10 for shipping – the good news is if you purchase 2 boxes (they have another deluxe beauty box), the total shipping cost is still the same.
Item 1. Spa Retreats Signature Softening Hand & Body Lotion
RRP: £9.99
This is a giant bottle of body lotion. The snout of the bottle has broken off, although I think it was already broken before it was in the box as I can’t find it inside. This is my own personal issue but I really don’t want another body lotion – I’ve worked so hard in the last few months to use up what I had! It does smell nice though and the pump still works without the snout.
Item 2. BareMinerals READY Eyeshadow 4.0 in The Dream Sequence
RRP: £25
I’ve had a couple of BareMinerals READY eyeshadow palettes before and I’ve loved them – I can’t even remember why I stopped using them! The texture is really soft and buttery, and the shade Romp – a purplish-taupe – is so gorgeous! I love how it’s so compact and flat, perfect for travelling. I’ll be trying this out on the next date night!
Item 3. CC Colour Corrector
RRP: (Tester Item)
There’s no brand printed on this but I think it is actually the Max Factor CC Colour Corrector Stick in Lilac and this is one of those tester items that the brand usually give to the stores to place on stands. It’s brand new, just in tester packaging (sometimes they put them in cheaper packaging as they are tester items – they are brand new, just without the fancy frills since it’s not meant to be sold). I don’t mind the tester packaging as long as it’s new. I don’t know how to use this yet but I have some dullness and I will be trying it out!
Item 4. Ilia Tinted Lip Conditioner in Arabian Nights
RRP: £22
This lip conditioner is supposed to be made from organic ingredients. It is really pretty! It’s very light coverage but looks really nice on the lips – it’s more red, plumper and juicier. It feels really comfortable on as well, very lightweight. The lasting power is pretty crap but I expected that from its very glossy texture and I don’t mind it.
Item 5. Nanshy Marvel 4 in 1 Makeup Blending Sponge
RRP: £5.95
This is pretty nicely packaged for a blending sponge with really strong cardboard box. It’s a nice hourglass shaped sponge with a flat surface on part of the small tip. It feels quite soft and bouncy even when dry so I have high expectations for this!
Item 6. Fusion Beauty Prime Results Anti-Redness Primer
RRP: £14.99 (Discontinued)
Another discontinued item. Why do they keep doing this? Its a green colour primer that is supposed to correct redness. I checked out some reviews and they’re not great. I’ll probably just try it once and throw it if it’s not extremely nice because I don’t want to put possibly expired products on such a wide surface of my face.
I like 2 items in this box – the BareMinerals eyeshadow palette and the Ilia lip conditioner – and I think 1 item has good potential – the Nanshy sponge. See, I would rather that they give 3 cheap sponges or some other cheap but useful item to make up the 5 promised products, instead of the really old, possibly expired, discontinued products. Am I too demanding? Or do you feel the same way? I have sent them a feedback on this but they’ve ignored me. These boxes are not cheap, especially the deluxe version, so I expected better than this.
Anyway, I have paused my subscription for next month as I need a break from feeling disappointed by all that discontinued products month after month. I don’t know if I will even restart it again so this might be the last unboxing for this subscription. Do you think I should give them another chance?
