It’s been awhile since I’ve done an empties post – I’ve used up a lot of products since my last empties post but it was impossible to track what I’ve used up during my trip as I usually just throw out the empties to lighten up my luggage. For readers who are new or if you don’t remember, I usually do this twice monthly because it makes it easier for me to remember how I felt about the products I’ve used up. Anyway, let’s get on to what I’ve used up!
1. I love… Mango & Papaya Bath & Shower Creme
A really affordable shower cream that looks a lot like other more expensive brands; the scent is very fruity and rather strong, but I like it. It does soap up a bit, but it doesn’t make my skin feel dry at all. Would repurchase.
2. MV Organic 9 Oil Cleansing Tonic
Got this a long time ago from a beauty box that was a collaboration between Caroline Hirons and Cult Beauty. I’ve purchased a lot of products recommended by her and to be honest, I rarely like them and this was no different. I really didn’t like this. It’s very oily, and very difficult to wash off – it forms an oily layer over the skin that wouldn’t budge.
3. Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Plump Perfect Ultra Lift and Firm Moisture Cream
A very thick cream that I think is meant for older skin. It feels quite heavy and uncomfortable; I usually use this at night and it’s not so bad because I always leave the air-condition on, but I would definitely not recommend it for the day or in a hot environment.
4. Vichy Purete Thermale 3 in 1 Solution Micellaire Demaquillante
So many brands have some type of micellar water these days. I find it really hard to differentiate between the quality of different brand’s; this feels like any other – it feels and looks like water, removes makeup quite easily except for waterproof eye makeup, and it doesn’t leave any oily residue behind. Would repurchase.
5. Caudalie Instant Foaming Cleanser
I like how this cleanser looks like liquid at first, but as you pump it out, it actually becomes a fluffy foam. Some foaming cleansers can be quite drying and harsh on the skin, but I don’t find it to be so with this although it does give a “nearly-squeaky clean” feeling.
6. Bliss Lemon+Sage Conditioning Rinse
Took this from a hotel – actually I took a lot so right now I have a cupboard full of them. I’ve tried and liked a lot of Bliss’ products. The smell isn’t too strong but it’s a nice light lemon scent; it also makes my hair feel really nice and soft.
7. Bifesta Moist Cleansing Sheet x2
8. Simple Kind to Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes
A bunch of cleansing sheets that I’ve used up – most of it was used up during my holidays because they are just so travel friendly. I love both brands – they’re moist enough without being dripping wet and does a good job at removing makeup.
This is one of the smallest empties post that I’ve done in a while, but I’ve only gotten back home for about 2 weeks so I think it’s quite good that I even managed to use anything up!
