I know this empties post comes a little too close to December’s, but I’ve used up a lot of products in January and I need to clear my overflowing bin before Chinese New Year comes round (in a couple of days), because the festival calls for a clean house, new clothes, and so on, so I need to push the empties post out right now! I have to break it down to a smaller post – so less products per post – because it’s easier for me to complete. Here we go!
1. Korres Calendula Softening Soap
I’m not a big soap fan – I prefer using liquid body washes; this does smell nice though.
2. Nip+Fab Pistachio Sundae Dry Skin Fix Body Butter
3. Nip+Fab Mango Smoothie Dry Skin Fix Body Butter
I didn’t finish these because I really hate them – they smell utterly awful! Both of them smell intensely chemical and sweet, and not sweet in a good way. It’s horrible. Truly.
4. Lancome Makeup Brushes x2
Got these as part of a Christmas purchase-with-purchase set a few years ago. Only used a few times but throwing them away because even after a few washes, the red dye still continues to bleed. Plus the brush hair is really harsh and scratchy anyway, so out these go.
5. Colgate Anticavity Toothpaste x2
This tastes better than the Darlie ones I’ve been using but I still prefer Sensodyne.
6. Jo Malone Orange Blossom Cologne
Love this! Bought a set of 5 minis and this was my favourite of the 5. I’m horrible at explaining scents but my version of it is this was slightly fruity without being too ‘young’.
7. CB12 Safe Breath Oral Care Agent
Only used this once; I didn’t like the taste of it so throwing it away.
8. Molton Brown Eucalyptus Body Wash
Don’t like this either; the eucalyptus smell is very strong, and I’m not a fan of minty scents.
9. Davines Nourishing Moisture Remedy Shampoo
I really like Davines’ hair products; I haven’t tried one that I don’t enjoy! This left my hair feeling nice and soft, less tangled, without being too heavy or oily, and doesn’t weigh down my hair.
10. Nuxe Body-Contouring Serum For Embedded Cellulite
Have been using this to help shape my body while I lost weight. I don’t believe a cream can help weight loss or reduce cellulite, but I think it can help the skin ‘rebound’. I don’t have any loose skin after losing 8kg and dropping a dress size, so I guess it does work a little?
That’s it for Part 1! Stay tuned for Part 2 and Part 3, and even possibly Part 4, with lots more makeup- and skincare-centric products, coming right up!
