The First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads are supposed to be gentle, daily renewal pads that tone and exfoliate the skin with lactic and glycolic acids, thus helping to improve skin clarity, reduce visible pores and diminish the appearance of fine lines. It is meant for all skin types.
The pads are pre-soaked with the formula and comes in a screw-top plastic pot, which does a good job at keeping it fresh and moist. I’ve tried other exfoliating acid products before, so I’m used to the ‘sting’ that chemical exfoliating products tend to have. This is extremely gentle and didn’t give me a sting – but I guess it might sting a little if you’ve never tried chemical exfoliation before. It does have a very strong chemical scent though.
For me, this doesn’t do very much when I have a normal skin day – I think it might be too gentle as I have used other stronger chemical exfoliating products. But these are nice and comfortable to use for when you want some chemical exfoliation, like when the skin feels oily or before the time of the month, but the skin is feeling more sensitive than normal.
This cost me about S$44 for 60 pieces, which makes it about S$0.73 per piece; I think it’s pretty reasonable as you only need one piece per use. I don’t use this everyday, as it doesn’t do much for me, but I think it’s gentle enough for daily use. If you are looking for something mild to start you on the chemical exfoliation wagon, I think this is a good place to start!
