Beauty Review: Innisfree Skinny Waterproof Microcara

The Innisfree Skinny Waterproof Microcara is a water-resistant mascara with an ultrafine skinny brush which claims to resist water+sweat+sebum and highlight hidden eyelashes.

This mascara has the skinniest mascara wand that I have ever seen! I think it might even be a little bit skinnier than Clinique’s bottom lash mascara, which is already very tiny, just that this is a full ‘length’ wand; the wand itself is long, but the bristles are extremely teeny tiny. In comparison, Clinique’s bottom lash mascara is about half the length of a normal lash wand.

Excuse me for the completely makeup-free face. I really like this mascara; it truly is non-smudge and waterproof. I have a bad habit of rubbing my eyes, but this managed to stay on all day without smudging. I really love how it manages to coat a very even layer of mascara across my lashes. Despite the super tiny brush, I don’t find it difficult to use or to build up.

I don’t think this is very volumnising, or lengthening, but it does add some definition, especially for the bottom lashes and those hard to get to lashes. I also love how it separates lashes; so this has been doing double duty lately – as a lash separator for other mascaras that are clumpier. When I use this after a ‘bigger mascara’, the effect I get is big but well separated lashes.

At SGD17, this is definitely highly recommended. If you’ve been thinking of trying some bottom lash mascaras, try this instead.
