And it’s empties time again! I’ve been using things up so quickly that I’m starting to see a good dent in the space where I keep the extra stash and products I get from the beauty boxes. I subscribe to about 3 to 4 beauty boxes so I am getting about 20 new items a month – even though they’re small individually, it builds up pretty fast and becomes quite a formidable amount of products to go through after a while.
1. WestLab Pure Mineral Bathing Himalayan Salt
With our hot baths habit growing stronger, I was looking for an even cheaper or more interesting alternative to our current bath salts and found this on Amazon. This costs about 8 euros for a 2kg packet; I’ve seen Himalayan pink salts going for 10 times the price when they’re packaged under luxurious brand names but I doubt that they’re that different. Honestly I just like that it’s pink; I don’t think it performs any different from other salts.
2. Mio Liquid Yoga Restorative Bath Soak
I didn’t really find this to be great – the scent is a little too mild, and other than turning the water slightly blue, I don’t see it having any special effect on me.
3. BalmBalm Bath & Shower Oil in Recover
The last of the BalmBalm shower oils – as mentioned in previous empties posts, I much prefer Aromatherapy Associates bath oils. This is a lot cheaper, but it’s still not that cheap yet doesn’t do anything for me.
4. First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads
Reviewed here. This is a little too gentle for me now that I’m growing used to chemical exfoliants so I won’t be repurchasing.
5. Garnier Ultra Doux in Creme de Riz & Lait D’avoine
When I bought this I thought it was a body wash, but it turned out to be a shampoo. It’s a lot better than I expected; this leaves the hair feeling rather soft even till the next day.
6. Garnier SkinActive Mizellen Reinigungs-Wasser All-in-1
This is a super affordable micellar cleansing water, with no particular scent and does a relatively good job at removing non-waterproof makeup. This feels just like water and doesn’t leave an oily film behind. Would repurchase it.
7. Doux Me Pure Spring Water Spray
I’m not a very big fan of water sprays; I like that they are refreshing but I find them to be a waste of money. I will use them when they’re given to me, but I won’t purchase them.
That’s it! Once again, as mentioned in the last empties post too, I have still not used up any body moisturisers so I really need to get on with it! I love how these empties posts reminds me that I have to use certain products that I’ve been neglecting.
What about you? Have you used up any products?
How have I only just found your blog?! I loove it, followed!:) X
