I am about an hour away from boarding a flight for a quick trip in Australia, so let’s get the final part of February’s empties out of the way!
11. Pixi Glow Tonic with Aloe Vera & Ginseng
I got a couple of this after hearing so much praise about it from beauty blogger Caroline Hirons; but to be honest this did absolutely nothing for me. I really don’t find my skin looking any better after consistent use.
12. Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Cream
Sulwhasoo can do no wrong in my books; I love their products. This is a very thick cream with a strong ginseng smell which I love; I find it great for days when my skin is feeling drier.
13. JCat Beauty Flying Solo Eyeshadow in Ticket to Stardom
Received this in a Lip Monthly box if I remembered correctly; unfortunately this came completely smashed and I hate having all the powder flying around every time I open this so out it goes.
14. Olive Young Perfect Aqua Sun Block SPF50+
Got this in Korea when I went on holiday about 1.5years ago; I did loved it – it’s creamy so it’s easy to apply but not too oily or thick. I’m very strict with the expiry date of Sunblocks so out this goes.
15. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant Stick
I’ve had this for so many years that I can’t remember how long so this is going out. It is a fantastic lip balm; I always have one of this when I’m travelling to somewhere freezing cold and I never have any problems with cracked lips.
16. Penhaligons Peach Blossom
I love this scent!! It’s fruity and floral, but not too childish. I would totally repurchase this if it is not so expensive.
17. Ioma Cell Protector SPF 50+
Another creamy sunblock; it’s a small sachet so I don’t recall much about it.
18. Sulwhasoo Evenfair Perfecting Cushion in No 23 Medium Beige
This was the refill – every cushion foundation came with an extra refill, which I think is right because it doesn’t last very long. One refill lasts me about a month of daily use, which is much shorter than a normal tube of foundation. But I do adore this cushion foundation; I have incredibly dry skin so having a luminous complexion is near impossible but this brings me almost there but I would think that anyone less than very dry would find this rather oily.
19. Dr Bronner’s Magic Soaps 18-in-1 Hemp Rose Pure Castile Soap
20. Aveda Dry Remedy Moisturising Shampoo
I originally bought the Dr Bronner’s soap to clean my brushes, but ended up using it as a body wash at the gym. It’s not bad; I do like the faint rose scent. Also used up the Aveda shampoo at the gym but can’t remember much.
21. Sonya Dakar NutraSphere Flash Facial Exfoliating Treatment
I do find that after using this, my skin looks clearer. But I really hate the ‘fume’; when I was putting it all over my face, this has a very strong ‘chemical fume’ that makes even keeping my eyes open difficult, even though I did not use it anywhere near my eyes.
So that’s it for the empties of February 2016! What have you used up lately?
