And I’m back! Still going on with the empties in March – I know it’s really late but I would like to clear the backlog before moving on to new topics. Also, personally I love reading empties posts! There’s an inner stalker in me that loves looking through what beauty items that other people have used up, or threw out without using them up.
7. Elizavecca Milky Piggy Elastic Pore Cleansing Foam
Got this in a Memebox sometime ago – this is a very thick cleansing foam that is black in colour. I didn’t use this up because I don’t like the whole black cleanser idea. It’s most likely psychological but every time I wash my face with this, I feel as though I cannot fully wash it off.
8. Eve Lom Cleanser
I have a love-hate relationship with this; when my skin is feeling extra dry I love it because it feels luxurious and comfortable on my skin, but when my skin is in its usual state I hate it because it feels like I could never truly clean it off. I’ve used up a couple of mini tubs of it and I actually still have more because this is always given away in gift bags and beauty boxes.
9. Shu Uemura Vitalizing Renewing Night Cream
Too tiny for me to remember…
10. Antipodes Joyous Protein-Rich Night Replenish Serum
This is an extremely oily serum; when I first used it I thought it was an oil. It does feel like a very rich night serum/oil. I wouldn’t use this in the day but it does feel great on my very dry skin.
11. Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Youth Activating Oil
Now this is supposed to be a 100% pure concentrated rose hip oil; I do love this – I like its floral scent and how well it moisturised my skin without feeling too heavy or oily. However, I’ve also used other non-branded rose hip oil, and I don’t see a big difference between them and an overpriced Ole Henrikson version, so I will just repurchase any rose hip oil in the future.
12. It’s Skin Power 10 Formula WH Effector with Arbutin
I think this is supposed to be a ‘whitening’ serum; I like the texture – it’s very light and weightless, not oily or heavy. However, I didn’t think that it did anything for my skin.
13. APIVITA Cleansing Purifying Tonic Lotion
This had a very strong scent – kind of floral/herbal, which I don’t really like. Otherwise it felt fine, just like any toner and didn’t break me out; but the strong overpowering scent kind of puts me off.
And that’s it for March’s empties! I still have some empties in April as well – much less than March given that I was away for 2 weeks, but I guess that might be combined with May’s empties later on. I think it feels so great to run through items that I’ve used and see what I’ve liked and what I’ve wasted my money on!
