The theme for this month’s StyleTone Beauty Box is “Goal digger”, with supplies to help you feel better and give extra energy so that you can “dig deep, go high, reach far and never give up” on your goals this year. I didn’t notice until now that there was a theme to the boxes! Personally, I find that it feels better without a theme because beauty boxes are rarely able to match up to the theme; the products are great on their own, but they will be unfairly judged against the theme, so they might as well go without it!
The StyleTone Beauty Box is from the Netherlands and promises 5 full size products each month at the cost of €12.50 if you live in Netherlands or €15 if you live in Belgium. They ship out the boxes every second Thursday of the month; for new subscribers, you will receive your first StyleTone box in the same month that you ordered.
Item 1. Emite Long Lash Waterproof Mascara
RRP: €22
The packaging is rather interesting (and annoying) – it’s fully black so it’s hard to see the brand or the product name. This mascara is supposed to be a “true invention when it comes to being born with shorter, thin lashes” and will “magically capture your lash; lengthen it, leave it nourished, and wrapped in a deep black colour”. I have a lot of opened mascaras at the moment so I will keep this for use later.
Item 2. Bellapierre Cosmetics Fan Brush No 27
RRP: €20
I don’t own many fan brushes so it’s awesome to get one! This brush is designed to apply highlighter or setting powder or “any product that is (pressed) powder that you don’t want to apply too much of”. It’s fluffy, not too thin or thick, and rather soft. I can’t wait to try this!
Item 3. Evelyn Iona Natural & Organic Lip Gloss in Lise
RRP: €20
This item has a special story – the founder was living in a shelter before starting the brand and partnered with a woman’s organisation to empower girls for a safe and equal future by donating a dollar for every product sold. I think it’s a really pretty pink colour and it feels really comfortable on; it’s not too thick nor too sticky.
Item 4. Seraphine Botanicals Guava Butter Creamy Lip & Cheek Stain in Pure Guava
RRP: €21
I don’t own many stick cheek stains so I think this will be quite interesting to try! It’s a lovely coral colour and I think it’s more suitable for when spring comes round.
Item 5. Figs & Rouge Hydra-Activ Flawless Effects Active Lumioux Serum
RRP: €38
This serum is supposed to provide immediate and long-lasting hydration. It doesn’t seem very exciting but I’m actually quite happy to have received this! I don’t have that many serums on hand so this will be useful.
This month’s box is not as exciting as the last but I still think that it’s filled with a lot of awesome items that I will be getting a lot of use out of! I really do like the lip gloss and the cheek stain will be fun to try, plus I’ll finally be able to try out a nice fan brush.
I think the StyleTone beauty boxes are really value for money. I’m not too sure if the products linked in with the theme, which is why I think they should have just left the theme out because the products looks great as it is.
