Beauty Empties: 1 – 15 February 2017

It’s empties time again! Since I switched to putting up empties posts on a half-month basis a few months back, I feel like I’m constantly writing empties post! It’s definitely made me a lot more conscious of the passage of time; every time I type the title, it just shocks me that another half a month has gone by just like that! Anyway, let’s dig into my empties!

1. Delarom Gentle Shampoo
I believe I got this from a beauty box; it’s actually a really nice shampoo – this kept my hair really nice and soft. I wash my hair everyday so it’s important for shampoos not to dry out my hair and this works very well.

2. Malin+Goetz Peppermint Shampoo
Got this from a hotel; they’re nice but nothing special. The hubby really likes the scent though. I still have a stockpile of this because we always stay at the same hotel.

3. Sensodyne Multi-Protection Toothpaste
Sensodyne makes my favourite toothpastes in the world. If not for them, I would have horrible teeth because I hate all other toothpastes and wouldn’t have brushed my teeth.

4. Alpha-H Liquid Gold
I used to use this all the time but lately I’ve been cutting down on chemical exfoliators and moving back to physical exfoliators. This is still one of my favourite chemical exfoliators.

5. Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base
Got this from a small Burberry Beauty Box set and this was something that I really wanted to try. It’s really nice and I’m really tempted to purchase a full size of it but I will have to use up my current tube of MAC strobe cream first as it pretty much works the same, but the Burberry Fresh Glow looks just a tad nicer and feels just a tiny bit lighter.

6. Primera Watery Cream Alpine Berry
A really nice moisturizer and I would say that its description of “watery cream” is actually rather apt; this is creamy but not really because it’s a lot more watery than the usual creams, but is not as fluid as lotions – it really does feel like a slightly watered down cream. I do find it pretty moisturising, while not being too heavy because of its fluidness.

7. Nuxe Anti-Fatique Moisturizing Cream
I had this in my drawer for so long now that it’s expired, so I’ve been using it on my elbows where there’s a stubborn dry patch. It’s actually done quite a good job for that patch – my skin has stopped flaking off but I wouldn’t say that it’s super smooth.

8. Bloom and Blossom Rejuvenating Facial Spritz
I really don’t know the purpose of facial spritz but subscription beauty boxes really love including them, so I will just have to keep using them. I don’t think they made any difference to my skin and feels just like spraying water on my face.

9. Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser
I find this to be really drying and practically stripped my face of all moisture; I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone with dry skin and I would be careful even with normal skin.

That’s it! I’m disappointed that I only managed to use up 9 items; as I get closer to the middle of the year, which is when “The Big Move” will be, I’m starting to feel more pressure to use up whatever I can so that I don’t have to move them. I haven’t been doing too well on just using things I’ve already opened; I’ve been opening many new items because I was bored of the old ones, so I need to get having a better control on that!
