Beauty Empties: 1 – 15 March 2017

Get yourself ready for a big empties post! I’m definitely upping my empties game these days – I can see that the little bin that I’ve been using to keep empties is filling up a lot faster than usual, so much that I almost had to do an empties post before the half month is up because the bin was too full! Fine, it’s a really small bin but I’m still really proud of myself!

1. WestLab Himalayan Salt
2. WestLab Epsom Salt

I’ve lost touch of how many packets of these I have used up. We love these salts – they’re really affordable and does its job. They also come in larger packets which are even cheaper by weight, but I have to collect these from the local post and can’t carry it.

3. Malin+Goetz Cilantro Hair Conditioner
4. Malin+Goetz Peppermint Shampoo
5. Malin+Goetz Rum Body Wash
6. Malin+Goetz Vitamin B5 Body Moisturizer

A few travel size bath items that I got from a hotel in London. I like them enough to keep taking them from the hotel, but not enough to purchase them.

7. Kiehl’s Amino Acid Shampoo
I quite like this shampoo; my hair feels smoother and looks a tad shinier after use.

8. Malin+Goetz Vitamin B5 Body Moisturizer
This is technically the same moisturizer as above, but the texture feels thicker and less fluid. I don’t know if the formula is different from those made for the hotel but it feels so.

9. Cowshed Wild Cow Invigorating Bath & BodyOil
This is ok-ish; better than the Kneipp brand ones that I’ve been trying out, but nothing compared to the Aromatherapy Associates bath oil that I swear by. This is relatively affordable for the quality, and I love the way it’s named, so I will probably continue to buy it.

10. Phyto Ultra-repairing Mask
I really like Phyto’s products and this is another great product – this made my hair feel really nice and soft. I would repurchase but their products can be rather confusing and hard to find sometimes because they have a large range and not every store all.

11. Korres Pomegranate Moisturising Cream
This is a light moisturising cream and I like the scent but I didn’t find it moisturising enough, although I used it mainly in Winter and I think this would be much better in summer.

12. Borghese Fango Ferma Firming Mud Mask
This is a really small sample in a pot but I managed to get 2 uses out of it. It’s one of those things I’m glad that I didn’t like because it’s so expensive! I didn’t find it to do anything to warrant its price tag; it didn’t tingle and it didn’t make my skin look clearer or firmer.

13. Molton Brown Gingerlily Body Wash
14. Molton Brown Pink Pepperpod Body Wash

I got these as a gift as a set of 10 over the holidays. The scents are nice – I like to pour a little into my bath and pretend it’s a bubble bath because it smells great. Other than that, they are quite ordinary body washes – they don’t make my skin feel dry and cleanses well.

15. IOPE Super Vital Cream Bio Intensive
I really like this cream – it’s a pretty heavy cream but doesn’t feel thick or sticky on the skin; it does a great job at moisturising my skin – I can actually feel a difference the next day.

Finally, we’ve come to the end of the post! Honestly, it looked like more than 15 items when I started the post, but I guess there were a lot of body products which are bulkier and took up more space. Nonetheless, I’m still really proud of myself for finishing up so many items, especially the body creams which I used to never ever remember to use – my skin is definitely feeling the positive effects from my effort to clear out the body care stash!

What have you used up this month?
