Like I said previously, while I would like to stay away from LookFantastic after this totally not-fantastic treatment by the company, I still have a subscription for their beauty box until the end of June, so I just have to bear with it until then. This month’s theme is “The Elle Edition”, which I guess is a collaboration between LookFantastic and Elle magazine.
Item 1. Skinchemists 24H Aqua Repair Facial Serum | 30ml
This is a serum that aims to improve skin’s natural firmness and stimulate renewal, with rose water and aloe vera. I’m quite happy to receive this because I’m running out of serums and they’re usually expensive to buy so this will help delay my purchase.
Item 2. St Tropez Instant Tan Gloss | 30ml
This tan gloss can be used to enhance an existing tan or on its own for a boost of colour, and washes off. I’m not particularly excited as I’m usually too lazy to use this kind of stuff.
Item 3. Caudalie Vine Active 3 in 1 Moisturiser
A lightweight moisturiser that contains anti-pollution technology to keep the skin clean and clear. I’ve enjoyed most of the Caudalie products that I’ve tried but I have way too many facial moisturisers at the moment so this might not get the attention that it deserves.
Item 4. Pur Minerals Disappearing Act Concealer in Light | 1.7g
A lightweight concealer to help hide dark circles, blemishes and redness; it is paraben-free and blended with retinol, ceramides and salicylic acid. The texture is nice, moist enough to glide on, but the coverage appears to be very light and just kind of rubs off. I’ll have to try this more but I think it’ll be too fair for me once we enter Spring and I gain more colour.
Item 5. Redken Heatcure Treatment
A salon-quality at-home treatment hair mask that is supposed to heat up as it treats your hair. This sounds interesting and I will be giving it a try soon!
Item 6. Starskin Eye Catcher Smoothing Coconut Bio-cellulose Second Skin Eye Mask
This has got the longest name in the world for an eye mask! The mask is soaked in vitamins to reduce dark circles and fine lines, with chamomile to reduce any puffiness. I’m not a big believer of eye masks as I’ve not met one that works, so I’m not too excited with this.
As usual, the box comes with an issue of Elle magazine – which is the biggest highlight for me. Honestly, I’m more excited about the magazine than I am for the contents in the box! I think this month’s box is not too bad – there are a lot of useful items but only one that I was really interested in (which is the hair mask). The rest of the items are just kind of “meh” – I really wish they would include more makeup items.
What do you think of this month’s box?
