A few days ago, I showed a beauty haul – one that occurred mainly because Cult Beauty was giving a huge goody bag with purchase of GBP150. I’ve gotten a number of these goody bags in the past, and have always been impressed with them so I definitely didn’t want to miss it. Even though this goody bag is no longer available, I think it’s still quite interesting to see what’s in it… and maybe next time you would know not to miss out on these!
1. Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Hair Cap System , 1 piece
RRP: £30 for 4 treatments
This is a hair mask in a cap system to lock in moisture and provide a deeper level of repair; the cap contains an inner fabric lined with natural reparative micro-oil beads that is meant to mend damage and enhance the resiliency of the hair. I’ve tried something like this before and I hated how gooey it felt in the hair cap, but we will see if this is better.
2. Apa Beauty Apa Tooth Gloss, Full Size
RRP: £23
This is a gloss that contains Xylitol and Green Tea to fight bacteria and cavities while combating bad breath. I’m not sure if I will be using this – definitely sounds like a gimmick.
3. Dr.Levy Switzerland 3 Deep Cell Renewal Micro-Resurfacing Cleanser, Full Size
RRP: £39
This cleanser has glycolic and lactic acids, organic rice extracts, sodium PCA and lactic acid ester to provide gentle cleansing, intensive micro-resurfacing and acts as a skin-renewing ‘Fast-Mask’ to ‘re-boot’ lacklustre complexions. Personally I love receiving cleansers because I always run out of them really fast so I will be trying this soon.
4. Phillip Kingsley Elasticizer, 40ml
RRP: £17.50 for 75ml
A pre-shampoo conditioning treatment; I’ve received this many times in goody bags and beauty boxes. It’s nice and softens my hair but not something I would pay so much for.
5. OUAI Rose Hair & Body Oil, 9.2ml
RRP: £26 for 98.9ml
This is an oil that can be used as a smoothing hair oil, a hydrating moisturiser and an intoxicating fragrance; it’s enriched with shea and rosehip oils to lock in moisture and impart radiance. I have to say that I am liking the scent a lot.
6. Goldfaden MD Skin Balancing Mask, 5ml
RRP: SG$ 98.13
7. Sarah Chapman Overnight Facial 5ml
RRP: £49 for 15ml
2 skincare items – the Goldfaden mask is meant to be washed off after 15 minutes, while the Sarah Chapman’s meant to be worn overnight.
8. Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Peel Extra Strength Formula, 5 treatments
RRP: £77 for 30 treatments
This is a two-step daily peel that targetss fine lines and wrinkles, large pores and uneven skin texture. I’ve tried this before but don’t remember what I felt about them.
9. DNA Renewal DNA Eye Balm, Full Size
RRP: £65
This claims to provide the highest amount of Nobel Prize-winning DNA Repair Enzymes and Human Growth Factor, thickening skin around the eyes which prevents dark circles and improves sagging. There’s a lot of claims but I feel it will be wasted on me since I don’t have dark circles showing nor have any sagging, though prevention is better than cure.
10. Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm and Cloth, 15ml
RRP: £39 for 100ml
I’ve used so many of this; it’s nice but not amazing and I’m really wishing that they would stop giving it away in every beauty box and goody bag.
11. Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment, 15ml
RRP: £72 for 60ml
I wanted to buy this for the longest time so I am so glad it’s included in this goody bag!
12. Huda Beauty 3D Highlight Palette in The Golden Sands, Full Size
RRP: £40
How ridiculously amazing is this? A full size highlighter palette from Huda Beauty! I can’t wait to try this; this has one cream highlight, and three pearlescent highlight powders.
13. By Terry Baume de Rose, 3g
RRP: £39 for 10g
I’ve heard so much raves for this but I never could bear to spend that much on lip balm and I am so happy that this is included in the goody bag! This tiny sample came in a beautiful and rather weighty little jar; it looks and feels so luxurious.

16. Too Faced Better Then Sex Mascara, 4.8g
RRP: £19 for 8ml
A few makeup items that I don’t think I will get too much use out of. I have too many lashes and mascaras right now so they will probably go into storage for now, and Lime Crime’s lip topper has a really weird blue hue on the lips.
17. Jouer Cosmetics Powder Highlighter in Rose Gold, 2g
RRP: £19 for 4.5g
This is in the flattest packaging ever and it is adorable! It’s quite sheer but really pretty. Can’t wait to see how it works out on the skin.
There’s also a little black Cult Beauty tote that can be quite useful to go to the supermarket or library with, and a small little black pouch that held everything in it. I’m really very impressed with this goody bag – and I almost always am with Cult Beauty’s goody bags. They usually do one every change of season and sometimes the bags can contain similar products so I try to get only alternate goody bags rather than every season.
